This was a period of political turbulence in the history of China, and the development of porcelain industry was also uneven in the south and north. In the relatively stable south, centering on the early Yue Kiln in Zhejiang, the porcelain production inherited and promoted the progress of celadon porcelain made in the Eastern Han Dynasty. As for the north, due to the influence of war, celadon porcelain as burial objects did not appear until the early six century. The celadon porcelain of the north was bigger than that of the south; it featured thick and heavy base as well as hoar color. Based on the firing technique of celadon porcelain, white porcelain appeared in the Northern Qi Dynasty.
