The Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368) was a transitional age in the developmental history of China's porcelain. The firing techniques of blue and white porcelain were greatly improved, forming a style unique to the Yuan Dynasty; and the firing of underglaze red porcelain was also growing mature. No matter in design, pattern, firing techniques, or other aspects, the Yuan porcelain had laid a solid foundation for its further development in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
